Ahhhhh…..Calming California Poppy tincture. This herb offers numerous benefits including gentle relaxation, relief from anxiety and nervous tension, improved sleep quality, as well as mild pain relief, muscle relaxation, and support for restlessness or overstimulation.
This tincture is a personal favorite of mine for unwinding after a long day or when my mind won’t quiet down at night—just a few drops help melt away the stress and invite deep, restful sleep!
I grow and wildcraft this fresh flowering herb in abundance. You can trust that my tincture is of the highest quality and potency!
California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica) has been worked with to help calm the nervous system, act as a non-addictive sedative and anxiolytic, ease mild to moderate aches (like headaches, muscle tension, or menstrual cramps), and promote overall nervous system restoration—making it beneficial for conditions like insomnia, anxiety, stress-related restlessness, nervous agitation, spasmodic coughs, colic in children, and general tension or overexcitement.
Additionally, California Poppy tincture may help reduce nervous excitability, support emotional balance, ease minor pain without narcotic effects, and aid in falling asleep more easily.
Ingredients: Fresh flowering Eschscholzia californica (whole plant/aerial parts), 100 proof vodka
My 2 oz tincture bottles come in a reusable glass bottle with a dropper.
Suggested dosage: 30-60 drops in water 3x/day, or up to a full dose (e.g., 60-120 drops) 30-60 minutes before bedtime for sleep support.
Contraindications: Pregnancy, breastfeeding (limited safety data; traditionally avoided). Avoid if taking sedatives, antidepressants (SSRIs/MAOIs), or other CNS depressants, as it may enhance drowsiness. Consult a healthcare provider if you have concerns, are on medications, or plan to use long-term.
